Fernando Conesa is the Head of the Service for Promotion and Support of Research, Innovation and Transfer (I2T) of the Universitat Politècnica de València. He has a background on food engineering, and after some time of research in the industry he did his PhD work on innovation systems. He has developed most of his professional career in the transfer of knowledge at the UPV. He has several publications in the field of university-business relations and knowledge transfer. He has participated in numerous projects for the development of knowledge transfer in Spain and in Europe and consulting with Latin American universities. He has been Coordinator of the TTO net of Spanish Universities (RedOTRI), main responsible of the Survey of Research and Knowledge Transfer of Spanish Universities (2007-present), founding member of Proton-Europe and author of several training courses on technology transfer. In 2013 he promoted the founding of the RedTransfer Association for managers of knowledge transfer, and since then he has been the President of this association.
