Isaac Esparbé holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, a Master’s degree in Electrochemistry, Science and Technology and a Postgraduate degree in Innovation Management from the Universitat de Barcelona (UB). His main experience is in the domain of the public-private IPR negotiation and collaborative research promotion, both in the private sector (engineering and chemistry sectors) and in the framework of the public research (UB’s Innovation Center/TECNIO GenCat, Fundació Bosch i Gimpera) performing tech transfer activities from lab results to market applications. He is currently in charge of the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Unit at the Institute for High Energy Physics (IFAE), being expert in joint ventures, partnerships, R&D agreements, intellectual property protection strategy, technology valorisation, licensing and spin-off growth. He is author or several international scientific publications in the fields of technologies for energy conversion and water treatment, as well as conference speaker in surface science symposiums, pharma and photonics workshops and IP training sessions (CERN, UB).
